Most Brokers in Summit County prefer the safer route with less liability; that of a Transaction Broker. They must be a neutral third party, working to get and keep the transaction together, rather than for the Seller. When a Buyer’s Agent, working for the Buyer, brings you an offer, you as a Seller are at a definite disadvantage if your Broker is neutral!
When I work for you as a Seller’s Agent, not only will I owe you honesty and performance, but also my undivided loyalty. I can be a bulldog for you, getting you the best possible price with my negotiation skills, while looking out for your best interests.
I also have an obligation to be totally honest with you. It may include telling you things about your property and the market that you may not want to hear but need to know as part of your decision making process. Few Brokers are willing to do that for fear of alienating the client. However, I can also help with strategies to overcome any negative aspects.
I am a candidate for the “Accredited Seller Representative” designation; the first in Summit County and the fourth in the state of Colorado. I have completed the training and just need to turn in the application and reference letters to be approved. I have been an “Accredited Buyer Representative” for several years, and felt the need to be able to offer the same services to Sellers as I do to Buyers. If you want true representation, call me!
